Downtown Brooklyn
**
I’m trying to sweeten the deal because I want to move out quickly, so if I can find a replacement within a week (Aug. 23) to take over the lease, I’ll pay for half of the first month’s rent as well as September’s utility and wifi bill.
**
HIGHLIGHTS:
* incredible views
* rooftop terrace, fitness center, arcade, and other amenities for no added cost
* reliable & responsive management
* good location (20 minutes to Times Square, 20 minutes to Prospect Park)
* so many good restaurants and bars
* cheap security deposit
THE ROOM:
I am trying to find a person/couple to take over my studio apartment in a highrise luxury apartment in Downtown Brooklyn. It is on the 25th floor and comes with pretty incredible views with floor to ceiling windows. It is currently furnished and we can discuss what furniture you might want to keep if any. My lease ends at the start of December this year which means you can have the option of a short term (3 month lease) if you want.
AMENITIES:
The building is managed by Equity Apartments and comes with many amenities. There is a rooftop deck (I think the rooftop is honestly one of the best views in the city) + lounge + grills on the 51st floor, and a lounge with pool, an arcade, conference rooms, and outdoor fire pits on the 4th floor. Both areas have grills outside for the summer seasons. There is also washing/drying on the 4th floor, a yoga room, and a fitness center as well. Unlike most luxury buildings, these amenities have no additional costs associated with them so you don't have to pay an additional fee to enjoy them! The building is also pet friendly and even has a pet washing station. There is also a parking garage attached for those who have cars.
LOCATION:
This location is located in Downtown Brooklyn, which is surprisingly one of the most convenient locations in New York City. You can reach pretty much anywhere from Times Square through Williamsburg to Crown Heights in under 30 minutes door-to-door, which seriously opens up your options in terms of places to explore for food, nightlife, and general activities. The A, C, F, R stops are literally seconds away Jay St. Metro-tech stop. The 2, 3, 4, 5, B, Q, N stops are all under a 5 minute's walk away, and these lines generally run 24/7. There is a Citibike rack literally across the street.
The area has so much on it’s own within walking distance. Within a 4-block radius, you have the Dekalb Market Hall which has over 40 incredible restaurants, an Alamo Drafthouse movie theatre, the Fulton Street strip mall, the One Metrotech Plaza, a Target, and a nice park. It's also walking distance to both the Brooklyn Bridge Park and Atlantic Terminal. The building is between a 24-hour deli and a 24-hour organic grocery store and a few blocks from Trader Joe’s, so you'll never run out of food either.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
I am looking for someone to stay and finish my lease which ends at the start of December for a lease break/takeover. I honestly believe this is a good deal because of my tenancy > 1.5 years. This same unit leased from the management would probably go for a few hundred dollars more a month. There is a security deposit of $500, and you must be able to prove an income of 36x the monthly rent ($85,000) or provide a guarantor. Please contact me if you would like to see the place in person to arrange a time, and feel free to ask me any questions.
