Master Apartments is an Art Deco landmark cooperative apartment building located on a beautiful, quiet enclave at the end of a tree-lined block at the edge of Riverside Park at 103rd Street and Riverside Drive. It is the tallest building on Riverside Drive, and reputedly the first building in New York City to have corner windows. This Art Deco architecture was originally conceived as an apartment hotel atop three floors containing a cultural center and the Roerich museum, which displayed over 1,000 of the works of Russian-born Nicholas Roerich, a prolific artist, mystic, philosopher, explorer, scientist, author, educator, lecturer and Nobel Peace Prize nominee.

The Master’s grand lobby has been restored, storage areas have been installed with lockers of all sizes, a state-of-the-art bike room was added and the large laundry facility was renovated. Just recently its hallways were completely remodeled. The building has a 24-hour concierge in the lobby, live-in superintendent, and four elevators.
