Due to a move abroad, we have to find someone to move into our beautiful 1BR apartment in northern greenpoint. (The lease is up in July, but you can sublet or simply sign a new lease with our landlord now or later. We've spoken to them and they are fine with either arrangement.) The apartment would be available March 1st.

As for the apartment, it is a brand new 1BR on Box st, just west of Manhattan ave. The pictures speak for themselves, it is really a gorgeous place. It has 3 closets, including a hall closet, a large bedromm closet and a walk in closet. There are quite a few perks, including a roof deck with tables, lounges, and the best view of Manhattan I've ever seen, and a gym with real weights, a squat rack, treadmills, etc. There is a washer/dryer on every floor. On top of that, there is a communal work space, which is a great spot to get some work done if you're working at home, and a courtyard which has a reservable BBQ and more lounges. There's also a free bike sharing program (like citibike but just for our building), and if you've got a car, there's a garage available for an additional fee. The doormen and women are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and the landlords really look after the place. In addition, you can pay rent and reserve amenities online.

As far as transit goes, it's a 10 min walk to the 7 stop at Vernon-Jackson (which will get you to Grand Central in 1 stop) and about 8 min to Greenpoint Ave G stop. In addition, the B43 bus stops right outside the front door, and it'll take you to Williamsburg in about 10 min. The B62 bus also stops a few blocks away, and it'll take you to either the Bedford Ave L stop or Court Square in about 10 min, depending on which direction you go. The east river ferry is also a 10 min walk away.


If you're not familiar with the neighborhood, Greenpoint is awesome (probably my favorite neighborhood in the city). Within walking distance are a ton of great restaurants, bars and boutiques. A few that come to mind are St Vitus, Lobster Joint, Glasserie, Milk and Roses, Paulie Gee's, Anella, and Le Fanfare.
