Hi!
My roommate and I are leaving our apartment for 3 years and looking for somebody to take over the lease beginning June 16th. The current lease expires on July 31st and then a new lease can be signed with the landlord.
Apartment:
The apartment is a 2nd-floor walk-up on a 5 story building, on State St.
The apartment comes unfurnished. Bedrooms are situated at the opposite ends. The bigger bedroom faces south and comfortably fits a queen-size bed as in the photos shown. It comes with an in-built closet.
The smaller bedroom can fit a twin-size bed, desk and a closet (as shown in the photos), or a full-size bed and a desk (current arrangement, not shown in the photos).
It also has a beautiful balcony and a view of the back yard. It's a very quiet neighborhood and still right next to everything (transport, restaurants, bars...). Supermarket and laundromat/wash and fold service are one block away. Atlantic Ave. is also a block away.
NYU Polytechnic at Jay St is a 10 min away walk. Also, close by LIU campus.
There are 2 through the wall AC units, one in the big bedroom and another one in the living room that are for sale if you are interested.
Transportation:
The apartment's location couldn't be any better. It's super close to all the major subway lines!!
Hoyt Schermerhorn (A, C, G) - 4 min walk
Dekalb Avenue (B, Q, R) - 5 min walk
Nevins (2, 3, 4, 5) - 4 min walk
Atlantic Termina/Barclays - 6min walk
3 different bus stops just around the corner (B63, B65, B41, B45, B67, B103)
Neighborhood:
Boerum Hill is a lovely neighborhood filled with amazing coffee shops restaurants/bars, boutiques, cinemas, and a variety of groceries (Trader Joe's at Citypoint Dekalb Ave 6 min walk, Whole Foods 365 Market on Flatbush Ave 6 min walk, Brooklyn Fare one block away) and 2 Target Stores (at Atlantic Mall and and Citypoint). All of those are a short walk from the apartment. The building is on a nice, tree-lined part of State street.
