Manhattan
Large one bedroom Chinatown apartment (top of Chinatown, right below Lower East Side) with flexibility on start and end date and rental price
I sincerely wish I didn't have to post this listing -- this is an absolutely fantastic large one bedroom apartment in upper Chinatown right below the Lower East Side. I only just moved in, but due to work I am going to have to leave the city and need to find someone ideally for the rest of the lease, or part of it
The apartment is on the second floor and has a fire escape that can be used as a balcony. It has an elevator (which is in good condition) in the event that the staircase is an issue!
The unit is really spacious: the bedroom is massive with a very spacious closet and a queen bed that doesn't touch any walls. You will not feel cramped here!
The bedroom has two large windows that let in a lot of sunlight, and the living room as a large window that does the same. I have installed an AC unit and the apartment has it's own outdoor heating unit, as well as hardwood floors and a newly tiled bathroom
The living room is large, it holds a full couch, love seat, coffee table, TV, and TV stand without feeling cramped; and there remains room for a dining table and chairs. The space is quite clean, as I had it professionally cleaned twice prior to move in and then deep cleaned it upon arrival
I am flexible on many aspects of this, including furnishing: I can either leave items in the apartment for you, or remove them and allowing you to bring your own. Ideally I am seeking a tenant through June 30, 2024 at the full rent price, but I am also flexible on this matter -- if you need a shorter term rental, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Utilities are not included in the rent, but I have all the accounts setup and will happily change things like the WiFi plan if you like!
The area is the quietest in Chinatown, right near Hester street. I'm able to just chill and relax there during the day and the neighborhood is pretty quiet at night -- the building is across from a school and a park, so there isn't as much activity as in other areas. It's also right outside of the heart of Lower Manhattan -- you will be 10 minutes away from any major Lower East Side spot, and a max of 20 minutes away from anywhere south of 14th street. It's about 6 or so minutes away from the J and Z line, and roughly as close to the B, D, F, and M lines.
Given where you are in the city, you're close to everything from grocery stores to parks to bars to restaurants and beyond!
