Manhattan
My wife legit cried at having to vacate this beauty.
We're moving across the country so need to vacate our lease (3 months left.) We love our friends here, but leaving this apartment might be the hardest thing about leaving NYC.
What follows are real pictures. No need to exaggerate about the space or location, or use all capital letters or smoke and mirrors. This has been our sanctuary. I'm legitimately jealous of whoever gets to now make it theirs.
Location is Inwood. Almost no one moves from Inwood. Why?
You're in Manhattan, only you're stashing cash by paying Jersey rent prices. You're next to three sprawling lesser known parks that rid you of stress the second you step foot there. You have access to nature typically reserved for the super rich.
Imagine waking up Saturday morning, picking up a chocolate croissant from the farmer's market, and walking a trail that takes you past the vibrant flower beds of The Cloisters to a bench that overlooks the Hudson. Hard to beat, right?
About the place:
Laundry down the street - there are always open machines. Huge 24 hour supermarket across the street with all your basic HH needs, and the cheapest wild caught fish we've found in the city. Plenty of restaurants (and more each year) - do Sunday brunch at Indian Road Cafe and thank me later:)
Kitchen:
Modern, open kitchen. Dual entry points makes it look bigger, and new stainless steel appliances (incl Dishwasher) give it a high-end feel. Inviting light and a space that will inspire you to cook often, if that's your thing.
Bedroom:
Pictured here is our huge, Cal King bed. Room easily fits it, with enough leftover space to put dressers, workout equipment, or whatever else.
Living room:
Fantastic light brightens the room and your mood. We fit a couch, two desks, and a large screen TV in the living room with ease.
Three closets in the living room + foyer provide ample space for storage and clothing so you can live clutter-free.
Price:
My wife used to live in mid-town, in a much smaller place, much further away from nature. Her rent? $2700. This place goes for more than a thousand dollars less than that: $1600. (Actually, $1500 for the first month with the takeover reward.) You won't find a much better deal that that anywhere.
